I recently completed a project to produce a promotional video for a client’s new book, AI Pathway. This work was an ambitious exploration of how generative tools can be integrated into a high-end narrative content workflow. 

The video features a unique and stylized conversation between an Astronaut Orangutan and a Biker Gorilla. Although the final result looks like a fluid and straightforward production, the development of this idea involved a rigorous multi-phase stage driven by creative vision and generative AI.

1. The Concept: From Script to Sketch

Every professional project begins with a script. Working alongside the client, we established the dynamic between our two protagonists: the reflective space orangutan and the rugged road gorilla.

This phase was purely creative. First, we worked on the dialogue to capture the essence of each character. Once the words were defined, we created a series of hand-drawn sketches. These initial drawings were fundamental for visualizing the composition and poses we wanted to show, serving as the conceptual map before opening any software or digital tools.

2. Character Design with Gemini Nano Banana

The challenge of this project was to create characters that felt distinct yet part of the same visual universe. I used Gemini Nano Banana to transform our descriptions and manual sketches into hyper-realistic portraits. This allowed us to precisely define the look of the astronaut’s suit and the texture of the gorilla’s jacket before moving to the motion phase.
